GROWING HIGHER                       8 Message Series

Message # 1

GROWING HIGHER   In the book of 2 Peter and the first chapter, Peter gives us eight progressive qualities and/or characteristics that every believer should be aspiring to obtain and achieve.  As we live in relationship with God and His son Jesuus Christ, we should be growing by adding each of these spiritual virtues.  Only then will we become fruitful, mature and accepted of our Father....  (Length 48:41)

Message # 2

GROWING BETTER    We were all given the faith that we needed to bring us to salvation!  Peter says, salvation alone isn't all that we should be reaching for.  There are so many promises that will go unclaimed because the children of God are too immature for them.  Now that you have salvation, this message encourages you to add 'moral excellence' to grow better.   Length 1:03:52

Message # 3

GROWING DEEPER   Faith opened our eyes to the reality of God, but we must add knowledge to grow deeper...  Length 49.54

Message # 4

GROWING STRONGER   As we grow in our knowledge of God, we must add the fruit of 'self control' and grow stronger.  There are three areas of our lives where self control is needed; over the body, the eyes and the mind, but there's only one thing we need to work on to control them all...  Length 39:41

Message # 5

GROWING PATIENT   Every virtue added, builds spiritual character in the believer!  In a logical progression, Peter directs us to add patience to our self control.  Patience is another spiritual fruit; one that we all need, but are not eager to seek after...  Length 48:24

Message # 6

GROWING REVERENT   A daily, reverent recognition of God; who He is and who we are in Him is the next step in our spiritual growth...  Length 39:37

Messages 7 & 8 soon to be preached
